New rookie groups, Red Velvet and WINNER, debuting at the same time in August?
A battle between these two groups, who will win?

    Is the targeted audience between these 2 groups really that different?
    I mean Winner obviously wants the fangirls but so does Red Velvet.
    If RV was targeting a male audience they would have gone with a sexy or an innocent concept.
    But RV concept is much more like fx --> pretty girls in weird costumes.
    SM knows by now that there are 2 peofitable audiences (the fangirls & the general public).
    Judging by the teasers it doesnt look like SM wants general public for RV at the moment. If they wanted general public they probably would have ditched this atrocious loom for a much cleaner look.

    it's not even a battle or even a fair match between the 2. WINNER is one the most anticipated if not the most anticipated debuts of the year. their debut is bound to bury RV's debut if RV releases what SM has released this year so far. i feel bad for them because it seems like SM is gambling big time or don't give 2 shits w/their debut, it's so rushed. Im sure SM knows who WINNER is, it's either on purpose or coincidentally.
    But tbh, w/YG's way of this year, the odds are all in WINNER's favor. already huge fandom & good general support & have shown to release favorable music, it's not even a match. WINNER's an "established" rookie group w/huge support & they're a boy group. the only 2 girl groups that are able to compete w/boy groups are SNSD & 2NE1, no other comes close tbh. this is unfair to RV honestly, but we'll see. I'm rooting for WINNER though, been waiting for them.

    Am not worried for WINNER at all. I've said this for so many times now but YG doesn't really fuck up actual debuts...especially of a group expected to follow Big Bang's footsteps.

    Well they obviously doesnt want winner to big like big bang..they will do anything to stop winner..sharing spotlight with them effect lot for winner..
    I love every single yg artist but stan winner i have to wait untill they debut..wishing well to winner..really excited about their debut..i trust yg music ..

    Of course SM know Winner. Aren`t they copying YG's tactic for exposing Rookies? After WIN got so many recognition & love YG wants, SM obviously following the latter steps. Not hating on SM but it was obvious, I mean the whole SM Rookies thing came out right after WIN finish right?

    Yeah I think so, but winner does really need to debut on August as they're going to have Zepp tour starting on September. How can they're not debuting by the time zepp tour start, are they going to sing JAB, Go Up, Smile Again, Missing You cover & Officialy Missing You?
    I seriously hate YG....
