A friend of Jung Jinhyung's who has kept in contact with him since middle school confirmed and said that they would start preparing charges on those who have started and circulated the rumours about him. (Criminal defamation) Jung Jinhyung's fans started to collect data to help with the charges and also made this known on Facebook.
(It was also said that Jinhyung cried after hearing the rumours and that he would work even harder)
A past teacher of Jung Jinhyung was contacted and tried to communicate with those that posted the comments and the 'suspects' were asked by Facebook hosts whether it was right for them to post false information. When confronted, they deleted all their comments and pretended not to know anything and that they weren't involved in the situation. After the matter, their IP was blocked.
After that, another made a new Facebook account and sent a message. The account was deleted after being asked to apologize through their real account.

Quick summary: (A) who was one of the people who started writing false information about Jung Jinhyung sent a message to one of his friends. They explained that things got over exaggerated and wanted to apologize after hearing that they would be taking legal action. (A) gave proof of being a former student in the same school, apologized, and asked to be excluded once they went through with the legal charges.
Aftermath: All of the students who circulated the sexual harassment rumours have deleted all their posts and deactivated their accounts. All the screenshots have been deleted as well.

ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for this kid. He seems to be nice and outgoing but those rumors can ruin him for good. Some kids can take it too far. It seems to me that Koreans enjoy spreading "Iljin" rumors to defame other celebrities. The sad thing is that other fans enjoy building up on the hype and use the term iljin squad even without substantial proof.

ReplyDeleteWhen people from your own school are standing up for you, teachers included, that is a bigger proof than some anonymous people accusing you. Anyone can come up with stories and exaggerated claims under a false identity.

Sure, him smoking is true but that rumour brought him misery. Prejudice. All votes were took down from him. I'm not saying people should vote for him instead of Chanwoo, but he was being accused and people took it as a definite fact. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm very sorry. I just need to let this out because it's too late to turn everything already. I'm so sorry for him.

Smoking underage is more common than you think and that doesn't make him a bully. People changes. To know they will take legal action against rumor I am assumed that most of it were make up. Please don't do like this. To ruin someone's reputation. I can't even stand people who I directly have problem with. I can't even imagine how it feels to get hate from anonymous or to get your dirty laundry revealed with exaggreation and you don't even have chance to clarify what happened by yourself.

2.Testimonial evidence.
This kid had testimonial evidence frm multiple source/witness that this rumors are just rumors eventhough there's post on the internet and pictures. Pictures/photographs can be taken out of context and there's always the element of false perspective with photo evidence. Given the testimonial evidence that backing up the kid i think that's enough prove to said he's clear frm it. Smoking is a non issue. Yes it broke the law but almost every teenage boys try smoking in their life time.
Im more upset with i-netz tbh. Always blindly believe rumors.

What kind of world did we live in now where the "innocent until proven guilty" had turn into "guilty until provent innocent. The truth is that, this is made up by an anti, a hater and yes he's smokes. You smoke too, right?
Over exaggeration could mean anything. He could have simply teased or taunted or laughed at someone as we all know middle-schoolers do. These rumors are all from middle school though. With him being 17 now, all of it could have happened 3/4+ years ago. So if he did do it, then obviously he became a changed person in highschool. I think we need to remember that the rumors were started by OT6 fans. If all TeamB members were confirmed for iKon and the competition was only between the three new trainees, then I don't think these rumors would have started.
