Leaving her out now until some undetermined time when the law isn't even after her is just bowing down to negative public opinion regardless of it having any validity. ReplyDeleteThose concert comments make me laugh, like is she supposed to just stand there doing nothing? How is it fair to the fans that paid money to see her perform, not go a chance to see her? Is she supposed to shirk all of her responsibilities? Can she not do two things at once? I still don;t get what she's supposed to be reflecting on. The fact that she dealt with a mental illness with prescribed medicine? That she hid it from the public, as if there isn't a stigma on mental illness, not just in Korea but the entire world?
ReplyDeleteI don't think she meant it that way. Have you seen 2NE1 perform as three? Though Minzy is a very talented singer, 2NE1 performing without Bom or any member in fact just doesn't have the same power as when they're all together. All the members play a big part...

ReplyDeleteBom adds the 'oomph' to the song that no member is able to do. In fact, non of the members can sing the other members part because they have that distinctness. This is why people say she has a 'unique' voice, because she carries out her emotions and is able to make her part shine (well that's what i think of it).

ReplyDeleteThese knetz don't seem to understand, when you book concerts abroad - theres certain legal requirements for the amount of money investors put into putting on these huge ass shows, and most of them are that all 4 or 5 members of the group are present - since fans are paying to see ALL of them. Hence why Bom promotes at all the oversees concerts.

ReplyDeleteThese comments are stupid. For overseas concerts, she is BOUND BY A CONTRACT. If she doesn't go, the companies can sue YGE. Concert plans are made well in advance. She can't suddenly abandon these concerts without having to pay for a breech of contract. God, are they idiots? She's self-reflecting and staying out of the media, and due to these assholes, 2NE1 can't even finish out their year strongly.

They can perform as 3 if they want, and I know they can do it, it might not be 2ne1 through and through but that's fine, they'll still do good. Besides this is one time and not forever so I don't see the harm.

I have no idea what your ultimate meaning is or isn't unless you express it well enough in the first place. You seemed like you preferred Minzy to Bom (which is fine) but you didn't exactly express any sad feeling about Bom not being present either. At least until you clarified with your edit. That really has nothing to do with things sounding harsh to kpop fans more like misunderstood conversations between strangers on internet comment sections.

And given Park Bom's situation that she's already suffered from depression & mental condition...cyber-bullying her awfully like this,trying to destroy her career like this..they should be punished with this clause.

I mentioned Bom because I felt like it. *shrugs* I do agree that Minzy is a better vocalist in the group but they all have issues with breath control and other things. I see no difference in Minzy's voice from then til now so I doubt it would be any better. I'm also not a blackjack so...

How come they were able to conveniently bury it for four years and then suddenly a tabloid with hardly any credence for investigative journalism stumbled upon pertinent details of a closed case? Was this only a coincidence? Did they need a convenient excuse to pacify the fans of the other members while they hold the promotions of the group- except one? How eloquent of them to say that they're putting all members on "reflection"- except one. Then when it turned into a P.R. disaster public reception-wise, they decide to "un-reflect" the other two to make three "no need to be reflecting" members attend a major award show or shows so that the one member who did not "reflect" with the others at the beginning will begin to pick up on the media play that failed to play because she's not really GD 2.0 no matter how they try so hard. Try harder. You're no one without your crew.

Some knetz are like an overly obsessed ex girlfriend. They can't let it go. I'm over this whole "self-reflection". Haters be hatin' anyways. ReplyDeleteTo me she's obviously out of breath because she has to sing two parts of a song she doesn't typically have to, not because she can't handle it vocally. It would have been better if they distributed Bom's part between all three of them instead having Minzy singing them alone. It's more of a stamina issue than vocal issue because I think she sounds great.
