Honestly, from the very first episode when BI asked chanwoo acting or singing he hesitated. I feel like iKON is a free ride for him to get recognized since he has always been overshadowed as the child role of Lee Minho. He blends too well to the fact i dont notice him. Ikon vocals vs rap arent very well balanced with his addition. Well this is just my opinion.

honestly Dong is not the problem as long as CW isnt in the group. Every group will use a good dancer during their dance break down or in variety show. Kai/Lay/Hyoyeon/Victoria etc barely got shitted or called talentless because they represent their group in dance department. People enjoy watching them dance in variety show or live performance so iKON can send Dong as their representative in variety shows/idol dance battle etc.
Too bad CW is in the group so Dong is getting dragged a lot too.

I'm really sad HongSeok finally got some screen time…..but too late. It broke my heart when he cried. the show unfairly antagonized him only to have him lose in the end. iKON needed a vocal upgrade & they didnt do that……
W.e i hope YG keeps HongSeok & JinHyeong around. those two have a lot of potentials. I can't see myself fully invested in iKON with ChanWoo as a member. I was a Team B fan and hated the idea of a +1. Even today, I wish iKON debuted as OT6 only. But after watching Mix & Match, I really took a liking to JinHyung and his vocal color would've been great for the group. But now that ChanWoo made it, the new lineup changes their dynamics, and they just feel like a different group to me.

When he walked in and introduced himself, I just knew it (and got a little upset because the other members weren't welcoming). Today when he cried, I cried as well. I was rooting for Hongseok since the beginning, but I have no problems with Chanwoo. Hopefully he'll improve like a super-maknae (coughsTaeminMinzySeungriSeohyuncoughs) and proof the people who are doubting him right now wrong. jinhwan is a stable vocal, but he sounds like a prepubescent boy, no power. yunhyeong has a decent tone, but is still very unstable live. Donghyuk has a thin voice like jinhwan, but sucks 30 leagues under the sea.
It was such a stark contrast when they were doing the 'just a boy' collab stage when jinhwan was trying to sing and seungyoon from team A just completely drowned him out and overshadowed him.

It was not up to the fans. You can tell as much by how much screentime CW got compared to jinseok before anyone even knew who they were. Even if the vote was legit (I'm seriously doubting), any illusion of 'choice' was slanted when they edited the show they way they did to heavily slant bias towards CW.

I just watched a fancam and I didn't find any problems with donghyuk's voice. Aren't you going to say his voice is not stable just because of the scream? I doubt "hongseok have way better control than donghyuk". Seriously? Park Jin Young said "Your singing style is old" to one of the guy in 2000won in Kpop Star 2 and this statement also work for hongseok's case.

I would feel bad if donghyuk didn't make it as the last member because he's been training so hard for so much longer than the newer trainees and he definitely has more presence in the group now compared to WIN days. But considering the talents of the newer trainees I felt really disappointed that they picked chanwoo over hongseok or jinhyung because then why didn't they just debut as OT6?? Ok, even if I were to agree that chanwoo is a decent singer or dancer, can he hold his own in the team? does he stand out in either skill? I've been reading pro-chanwoo comments on forums and people are saying that he'll be snapping up the CFs and go into acting to become the "Nation's Boyfriend" which is um, I guess if you're thinking from the perspective of a businessman it's a good thing, but honestly I don't want him to be in the team just to use the team as a springboard for his acting endeavours or to clinch CF deals. I want him to be a capable and strong contributor to Ikon's music. But i do think it's unfair if we hate on him and don't give him a chance. I guess we'll just have to wait and see and cross our fingers that he'll improve dramatically.
Also hoping that Hongseok and Jinhyung will keep working towards their dream and debut someday!
