1. [+2257, -154] This year SM completely crashed and YG shined.
2. [+1944, -126] Instead of just hip-hop, YG's gradually becoming a company with a great variety of music with acts such as Akdong Musician, Lee Hi and more joining in.
3. [+1736, -118] While both SM and YG got into a great deal of controversies this year... the biggest difference that sets them apart is their artists' music success. YG killed it this year.

I don't consider myself a big fan of anyone from YG but I have to admit that this year was really good for them. You can't deny the quality of the music they release... and I'm reallyyyy loving how diverse their music is becoming
I hope in 2015 YG will be more success. I think in early 2015 Ikon debut, PSY daddy realese, and CL us debut, middle 2015 Big bang comeback??? Or YG girl group debut, and end 2015 winner, lee hi, akmu will comeback
it's definitely yg year this time. all he need to fix now is how to manage his artist properly instead of keeping them inside the dungeon for a long time -.-
It's so hard to rank my favourite album this year because they're all so good..... I hope 2015 will be an even better year for them
atleast knetz recognize their music success is undeniable. very proud of the music all of them released! i genuinely enjoyed all of them.

Despite the scandals, YG has been on a roll this year. I love all the albums they've released this year. As long as they keep it up with the constant releases of good music, no one will care about your scandal in the end.

but i think it has been pretty good so far? we get a comeback every 1 or 2 months and they cant possibly overlap promotions right so...

Everybody has preference so maybe she doesn't shoebox that much. Personally the only albums I like are Crush, Shoebox and Play. Taeyang and Winner albums are nice but they didn't stand up as much as the other three. Although I only like AKMU's album because they put me to sleep much easier LOL.

I think if I really had to rank them mine would go: Crush > 2014 S/S > Shoebox > Play > Rise ... Crush was amazing. Wish we could've seen the girls perform it at the year end awards.

slowly kpop is being yg music to me.i lost my intrest to other idol songs.tired with brave brother and sidekick recycle shit..
at first i like yg music coz i love hiphop music 1tm,bb and 2ne1..but im also loving the fact they are doing diffrent genre with akmu and lee hai and also winner..honestly i wasnt exectied about winner debut but empty just blow me away..
i own hard copy of CRUSH and RISE..and digitally download 2014S/S,PLAY N SHOEBOX..
2014 lots of shit happens yg artist,yg related fandom and yg dissapoint me a little but blessed with muscially..

Yes definetly agree. But maybe swap Shoe box with 2014S/S for me, but I can't judge just yet cause I haven't listened to the full Showbiz album. Just a couple of tracks.
But I definetly agree 2ne1 should be first in general. That is why I am surprised no one mentions 2ne1. Crush was so underrated. I mean yah they charted high and such but that album deserves way more praise.
I listen and love everything in all on the album released by YG except for 2ne1 though Im big fan, Crush album didnt appealed that much to me. Ive been listening to AKMU's Play Album track list for almost 6 months and not once get tired of it.

The only disappointment from YG is not picking Seok and Jinhy!!! Hurts soooo much that i can't even be bothered with Ikon... I'm in dilemma... Bobby... Junhoe... Do well...
and the best part? BIGBANG didnt even make a comeback….. can't imagine the dominace of BB was included in the picture.

Crush was my favorite album this year. It had the most variety imo. Play was amazing, but it was my least favorite of YG albums this year because every album release was soo good.

I agree with this. Tbh Crush needs to win every Album of the Year award this time. And 2014 S/S was also amazing!!!!!! Rise was good, solid album (and Taeyang would win that song of the year with ENL) but i honestly preferred Solar lol

i loved pretty much all the songs on Crush and Shoebox. AKMU won me over w/their lyrics and overall freshness. i liked a few tracks from Winner's album, but I was also underwhelmed for some reason (i had really high expectations T T). rise.. i loved taeyang and eyes nose lips but none of the other songs were all that memorable to me at all.
but overall, only yg's songs are any memorable to me this year (save for some k-hiphop eheh)
Watching this sm ? Stop with the trashy songs . Am artist has as much as potential as YG artist , some more , but the trash pathetic songs ruin it all
