GDYB are close with most of the oldies though (and all of 2ne1 tbh), but for me, the true bonds I recognizecd in the company are Teddy & GDYB, Se7en & GDYBTOP, Gummy & GDYBTOP.

Of course they would be close. How long do they know each other? Over a decade. It's impossible not to be close, besides GD doesn't care about people shitting on him over Se7en. He took a photo with him when Se7en scandal was at it's highest. It's clear they have love and respect for each other. Se7en is kinda like a big brother to him. They go way back. I'm glad GD is there for him. Must be tough seeing your whole world go down like that. I'm not happy about what he did, but if PHB found in her heart to move on, one day, everybody will move on also. If we are talking about friendship, i'd say Dara and Bom are a lot more close than Chaera. For me 2ne1 are more like "sisters" than friends since they are soo much apart in age.
YG fam never advertise their closeness or their private lives so we can't really say much on who are close and who isn't.
Personally, Two close members who rarily gets mentioned are TODAE...For me i feel like that they are the most "tight" in yg next to BOM/Dara and GDYB.

I think YG media plays too much about the family thing making fans delusional. YG is a business after all, of course the old generation is closer because the company was smaller, so it was easier to get to know everyone. But it's like this in every company, you eventually become close to people you see everyday. Even though he left the company, they'll still remain as friends. From the new generation, I believe Winner x Ikon are close and Lee Hi x Akmu. Tablo also said they were close to Mino. But being close friends won't stop them to leave the company if it's necessary.

Other than it being a logo that was established 20 years ago, how does YG "media play" about the family thingy? YG family is their logo just as SM has "town" and JYP has "nation". It won't just disappear for no reason. It will always be there whether someone leaves or not and fans will ALWAYS use "YG fam" to identify the artists under there cause that IS what the company is called.

YHS himself met up with few other agencies to find a suitable one for Gummy, and PERSONALLY invited the CEO of her current agency and asked him to take care of her. You know, he is a busy man, running a company that is worth billions, but he still finds time to do something like this when he didnt have to. Their contract was over, he could just say bye and let her go, but he didnt and treated Gummy with utmost respect until the end.
What happened to her did she sue yg or post a lawsuit no yg helped her find a new place where she would be happy about it I mean how many CEO do you know will take time off their busy schedule to make sure that the artists that are leaving are well taken care of huh
I think 2NE1 is definitely very closer in general, but you can see who Dara depends on. She's stated many times that CL is a big part of her life. She supports jet a lot, and I think saving your friends life definitely proves that closeness. Not to deny Park Sisters at all. That's not my intent, but what I've noticed consistently is ChaeRa's presence. Watch CL and Dara. Unconsciously, if they are in the same room, there will be a 95% chance that they are next to each other.

I understand the frustration. New fans prob saw 2ne1tv, BB documentary etc but its not same because they didnt witness it real time. They didnt see how Se7en practically raised Bigbang boys, or how they used to literally get scared of him more than YHS. They didnt see how fucking much Bigbang were excited when 2ne1 debuted, how Se7en and BB members were worried (even more than 2ne1 girls lol) for their first live stage and concert. They didnt witness how TOP came out to support Gummy on Immortal Song (?) because he got mad she didnt get any number 1. They werent there when GD wrote a trot song for Daesung for lols and it became a hit. Or when GD wrote a song for Seungri and Seungri just thanked himself during the thank you speech lol.
Idk about new groups under YGE though. I like and support most of them, but dont really follow them a lot. Maybe they dont give the feeling what Gummy/Seven/BB/2ne1 used to give us. Seeing how Winner and Ikon fans cant stand the sight of each other makes me think so tbh. But denying YGE once was a company where all artists were as close as real family is just ignorant. If YG really lived up to the "family" motto, gummy wouldn't have even left. You guys can't be that serious to believe YG did that out of the goodness of his heart. I do firmly believe that relations are more business-like for their artists. I believe the actually being friends from the senior YGE groups (excluding Epic High) stopped after Lee Hi. I don't believe that despite the pictures they may take together, the majority of the rookies have closer connections to the senior groups to a point where they can call them friend. I believe a line is drawn now.

YG is the company and "YG Family" is the company's culture.. all companies have their own culture and atmosphere. Se7en was the poster boy for the YG Family brand because he took care of everyone. Made sure that the "kids" were fed by earning enough money to fund Big Bang's debut. He also has a close relationship with the company's hyungs, never forgetting how they helped him.
When he transfers company, Imma be like Zico and P.O when they saw Mino with B.O.M.. Imma cry!!!

Those comments are irritating, like a itch that won't go away but its just desperate, childish people who want to monger ill will because they're so petty and retched inside or if they do not know they are than its a reflection of some unsatisfied pit in themselves that wants to drag more successful people down and kick those that are down- they can not be getting anything out of it, they're just malicious little twerps and it'll corrode them in the inside eventually.

I recall people criticised him for showing that he and Taeyang visited Se7en and he should have been like Taeyang and not publicized it, but I think its quite brave and important. Just like the people commenting here, it reminds people what Se7en has done for GDYB and the rest of BigBang so reminding them of Se7en's good points and giving a firmer impression that their is still honest care and loyalty there. Comparing this to the nasty comments in the articles about Se7en not renewing his contract, its much more positive and there is less ridicule so it has done some good even if he's setting himself up to get low blows.
