What i respect is he creates his own content: in music, in art. His music can really be called "his music".

PEACEMINUSONE is what GD likes to call the logo he put out on his Coup D'Etat album (essentially a peace sign minus a stroke).
In this article, GD collaborated with artists for this “PEACEMINUSONE: Beyond the Stage” art exhibition. He says he will be "acting as the bridge between pop culture and contemporary art."

I think successful idol groups can be seen from their longevity. Big Bang peaked when Lies came out and just got even higher ever since. Which other second gen idol groups has the same influence as Big Bang in the music industry nowadays?
He's successful, has fame, lots of money...
But when he said "It felt empty in hotel room after performing on stage in a concert" I could feel his longing for normal life. Sure it's his dream to be this big, but whenever I watched him said that he missed his trainee days, it made me think that happiness is not always about fame and money.
But still, I'm proud of him. :)

i'm a fan of exo, tbh, but some exo-ls boasting that double million sales and constantly trying to compare bigbang with exo really pisses me off...

You are rude, judgemental and derogatory. Possibly so blinded and threatened by bias that you don't see someone else's good work.
It's attitudes like yours, which is part of the problem the art community face by turning people away from art by making it something more convoluted than what it is, that it requires a prerequisite to be accepted. It's simple snobbery. Art is for everyone and anyone's interpretation and emotion.
You have no idea of GD or TOP's depth of interest in art- and frankly it doesn't matter.
In this exhibition GD is the muse and subject of the artists, and while he discussed ideas, it's their work on display. This project is a helpful because it's supposed to attract people who might be intimidated or uninterested in modern art to have a look and so gives modern artists and the genre exposure. It works because GD is using his popularity and interest in him to help another platform get exposure but also because he's the common factor and things in the exhibit with be familiar so it won't be as alien as some people feel modern is. In short GD is being a bridge.
He has accomplished so much at such a young age... Living the dream!
