Yang Hyun Suk apologizes on 'Healing Camp' and reveals he is embarrassed about the scandals

Source: TV Report via Naver

1. [+2003, -124] Is this how he's going to cover them up?

2. [+1659, -107] They weren't just light controversies but cases where the police were involved very frequently... It's urgent that they fix their image... they've always had a strong trouble-maker image...

3. [+1461, -105] Sneakily trying to cover it up~ ^^

4. [+1204, -85] Does he think this is something that can be fixed with mere words...

5. [+1053, -107] He's part of the problem too...  can he not take care of his artists?

6. [+244, -10]  Although Yang Hyun Suk is responsible for the way he handled things, those who took drugs and were caught drunk driving should personally come out and apologize themselves.

7. [+224, -9]  If you're ashamed and sorry about it then stop playing silly games to cover it up and make them pay for their wrongdoings

8. [+223, -9]  There are other people directly involved in those controversies who should be embarrassed themselves... why is only one person and to top that off, on a talk show broadcast, explaining for all of the controversies that happened...?  These are not innocent scandals which you can just resolve by going on television.

9. [+188, -10]  Okay, since they're talented and young kids, let's just say they made a mistake.  However, more than the artists themselves, the reason why YG is unlikeable is because of the way the company chooses to handle scandals.  They use every available means to block the articles, pass the time by playing dumb, and then after a long period has passed, they give us an insincere apology...... they're media play experts.

10. [+190, -16]  With such big controversies like this, I don't understand the fans who have decided to gloss it over just for the fact that they like them.

Insert eye roll here.

So he just gave a brief apology with no clarification? Oh, man... Does this mean we got to wait longer for Bom ):

BOM & 2NE1 FIGHTING!

I MISS YOU SO MUUUCHHH :'(

I feel like the damage is already done. It's not like if they apologize now + go into reflection, they're going to be treated anymore favourably by the public. They'll still get hate and fans will support them regardless. It's a moot point to be honest.

psychopathetic said...

Might as well, u know, at this rate.

VIP4Daesung said...

Those who took the drugs and drunk drove ahould come forward and apologize.....to bad for that netizen none of those people are in YG.

If you mean Bom's incident... she did tey to explain but netizens wouldn't hear about it.... and it was somethig checked out by the cops before being closed...so... let's drop it.

Also, if you mean somethig involving driving, you must mean Seungri....Ri was NOT drunk. He took the test at the scene and then at the hospital. He was not drunk nor dis he has impaired judgement.

Nice try though netizen...come back again when your comment isn't totally incorrect.

princekyung said...

I don't think the episode aired yet... I think this is just a quick 'preview" of what he said isn't it? But I don't think he planned on clarifying anything clearly anyway...

psychopathetic said...

Their image wasn't spotless clean since ancient times but we still like what they produce. So it doesn't matter at all. It's not like they work in a religious organization.

princekyung said...

I feel like he shouldn't have gone on Healing Camp at all.... k-netz will never be satisfied.

Chorong Lee said...

First they complain how YG didn't apologize.
Now they are complaining that he did apologize enough.

Aigoo.... this will never end

princekyung said...

Lmao they ask him to talk about the scandals
now they say talking about the scandals won't resolve anything

where is the logic here lmfao

Wait...what? It was already proven by the police that Seungri wasn't drunk. At least get your facts right before blabbering.

guestboo said...

don't you know? YG paid off the police, and for Seungri of all people. corruption all around!!

It's really a problem where the media in South Korea is at the point where it's 'untrustworthy' or 'trustworthy'. Any controversy from YG, given any clarification is deemed 'untrustworthy' or false even with an official apology. This is where YG's media play backfires, because of his media plays, all Media articles FOR YG is untrustworthy or false.

Example: From memory, the BAP incident where Daehyun's (?) former vocal coach (?) said that the report from DISPATCH was mostly right and trustworthy source. However, the case in which Dispatch's clarification on Bom's incident is deemed untrustworthy?

It's to the point where the use of media is so influential that it can turn one's opinion around (much like around the globe, however, it is very evident in South Korea). Look at SM, Jessica had support (at first) then suddenly everyone is against her.

Regina_George said...

All of a sudden people became expert from being on the internet too much. Why have police when netz can do a better job of finding the culprits.๐Ÿ˜’

anne said...

i don't understand why they can't seem to forgive YG while they take SM's scandals lightly.. i mean, overworking your artists to the point where they develop a disease isn't a crime? wow, just wow!

Aced21 said...

Ahh, when is it airing? I just want him to say something about the situation (lets hope he does not make the situation worse) and clarify the right and wrong. Like people are believing that Segyo Ilbe shiet with their wording of 'alleged' or 'allegedly'. Media articles use this to AVOID being sued.

Then again though... with him appearing it seems like the scandal aftereffect is back up and running, because it seemed like everyone forgot about it now...

anne said...

& SM got bunch of suing issues while YG haven't had any

Kpopismylife2010 said...

I just want an idol to come out and start handing out fuck you's to netizen..Cause they deserve it.

VIP4Daesung said...

It also depends on what side Netizens want to take right off the bat... once they take a side, fact or no fact their right and you're wrong.

But yeah...media has a way of being some weird deciding factor and it shouldn't....facts and law needs to do the talking in cases like this.

Apple said...

How do you know he did? Did you run the investigation? Did you even live in SK? Let's not make assumptions when it comes to legal problems, shall we :)

Aced21 said...

Everyone takes drugs, it's a fact. (:

Nana Konate said...

I dont understand knetizien seriously

Apple said...

Preach! They only need computer & internet, voila, suddenly they're experts at investigations. I bet they won't dare doing this in real life. Not to mention the amount of understanding they have on legal problems....sigh.....

anne said...

wtf are you doing here tho & how did you know YG paid the police? lmao

ine said...

they'll never be happy in the end.

they ask for yg, bom, seungri, etc to speak up about the scandals then when they do they scream media play, say its not enough, paid off, blah blah blah.

Riyadh Prawiryo Att said...

Whatever you say, knetz will be always judging park bom as park druggie

guestboo said...

sarcasm is really lost on yall. smh

Apple said...

Whoops sorry i didn't know....but how could i know though? And you could've said it nicely....."i intended that as a sarcasm" is that hard?

Guest said...

seemed pretty obvious to me

Bei.B said...

netizen are never pleased

macy_12 said...

it never really was…. PSY & GD's drug scandal…. Dae's scandal, GD's sex & plagiarism scandal…. YG's image has never been clean but it's just that not so many happened all at once like this year.

macy_12 said...

Taeyang is the first volunteer.

"I think only in our country to we need official statements for our personal lives"? -ish
"I think people don't understand the point of music festivals"-ish

Apple said...

Then again....i'm not you :)

Regina_George said...

Lmao. If they were to actually even try to be real life investigators... i fear for the country! "Your oppa was recklessly driving, although he wasn't drunk i don't like him, so life in prison" God help their soul.

Hipployta said...

So they complained about him talking about Seo Taji and not the scandals and now they complain about the scandals. He wrote a long letter about Bom plus a Dispatch investigation but they are still saying, "No you need to say more"...WTF?

Seungri was cleared of any drunk driving accusations so clearly they just want to create their own reality. Like the one they've made up that Jessica left and wasn't kicked out.

Regina_George said...

GD had a sex scandal? Little freak๐Ÿ˜

park sakura lopez said...

You know what?? it's better if he DIDN'T apologize...I'm sorry but you don't owe them anything. You don't owe the knetz anything. Literally nothing will satisfy them more than seeing Bom in jail...they will complain and complain and complain. Your apology is no use to them so sometimes you just have to be like Godney Spears, as she would've said...

Well, i don't. And its a fact :)

YukiJames said...

simple cough syrups and medicines like Tylenol and advil are all drugs

VIP4Daesung said...

Lol...not really... he did a sexy dance on a stood up bed during a concert...and because he didn't rate the concert 19+ he got in trouble and they deemed it a "sex" issue/scandal.

Aced21 said...

Medicine = drug.

YukiJames said...

Actually these responses aren't too bad. At least none of the comments are laughing and completely shutting him down. I think more than hatred its more disappointment in the artists. The comments indicate that they want more from YG they aren't willing to completely drop interest in YG artists. I think after awhile and if there are no more incidences Bom, Seungri, and whoever will be able to bounce back. As long as they put out good music people will move on. Luckily YG doesn't make his idols only based on images. Because they enforce the good music and real talent side over looks more people care about that. I just wish that more people would be more forgiving because a lot of the cases weren't even that scandalous if all the facts were evaluated. Bom's case had no relevance to anything since it didn't hurt anyone. Seungri's case was dangerous but it's not like he broke any law. And he wasn't drunk or at least over the BAL apparently so.. :/

Aced21 said...

Usually when people use '!!!', '!' (exclamation marks), it's said to be sarcasm. Or try to interpret the tone. '/s' is sarcasm as well. Just little tips (:

Note: People don't say 'sarcasm' in their sentence because that ruins the comment/message. Over time you will get use to it because it's all over the internet.

macy_12 said...

lol but what the person below or above said.

Apple said...

Noted! Thanks! Yep maybe coz I don't spend much time in the internet.. it's tiring haha

Apple said...

Yeah... as if their lives are straight A's. They don't even do crosschecks, they'll eat anything the journalists throw them. :(

Regina_George said...

That's the scandal? Man, i thought it was some kim k style sex scandal. #FML

Regina_George said...

When they hate someone, i'm sure they do. It's a way to boost up their faves. But whatever. They can keep on sipping that haterade.

HanaVIP said...

LMAO. Yeah, they are media play experts. And their media play is the one that you follow and you like in the end. You whined about WIN, you like it in the end. You whined about M&M, you like it and watched it in the end. You whined about every single one Who Is Next teaser, you like the outcome anyway.

And yeah, the cases included police and law. It's your country law and police that's dirty and easy to bribed IF what you said are all true. Then why don't you attack your government or something, so later your law and police will be better and more fair? Attacking the artists won't solve it to the root.

chyeah said...

Uhhh do yg stans even care anymore about this never ending cycle? I dont? Yg himself probably doesnt give a fuck but is annoying by netizens
honestly, i dont care bc people just hate yg artists bc they kill all their favs and they get into these "scandals" yet they still are on top. Idc bc i trust in their ability. Sm is doing shitty bc their idols are fake (image wise) and when something ~scandalous~ happens, shit breaks loose within the fandom. Like when baek and taeyeon were confirmed dating stocks went down like wtf is that, a conpany losing money bc an idol is dating? But for gd with kiko, nothing has really changed. Im kinda glad yg is so problematic yet talented bc you cant beat talent. In the end yg is still the top, and most people like their music anyways so private lives isnt something to worry about anymore, im sooo over it lmaoo (omg this was so long sorry lol)

HanaVIP said...

I think that's why I really2 love Born Hater? The song lyrics are superb, especially Beenzino's one.
It suits the situation so much. Lol <3
I hope all Korean celebs that keep being hated for every single mistakes (even the smallest ones), can be strong enough. It's sad to see how there's a big lack of love, even in online world. As if the lack of love in real life (with wars and all) is not enoug :(

Chorong Lee said...

i am a yg stan and i don't care but it is annoying how they are always bugging him about it. the drug problems was like four years ago and there was clear evidence that bom could use the drugs because of a doctor. and car accidents... most people get into car accidents so what is the big deal? dating is just dating. you can't help to fall in love. truthfully, i am just annoyed.

chyeah said...

Me too lol its annoying ofc because the majority of scandals are done with and werent as big as netizens claim but idc anymore lmaoo

Knet =/= public

Amanda Rachel said...

I don't know what to say anymore. Sigh! Some netizens whose will never accept the explanations/truths & always try to stir shit OR Some artists whose should be responsible for their own acts cuz they're grown up adults.

Maria said...

These K-netz are the most fucked up people I've ever heard of. First you want YG to come out and give an explanation - he did, not enough for you? Now he's apologizing - he should stop playing "silly games". Wtf do you want, seriously? He couldn't give two shits about little bugs sitting behind their computer desk spreading hate here and there. And now they want those who "took drugs/drunk driving" to come out?

I swear I'm gonna fly to korea just to chop their fingers off...

dooping said...

Oh yeah didnt realize that. Kekekek. So i hereby declare i do drugs!!

VIP4Daesung said...

I know right.... but no... that's rumors and wrong naming for ya...

*already in a bad mood* Can they just fucking get real already??!! All the scandals beside gd's are cleared up. Even YG apologized now and its still not enough?? Still talking about how he's covering up everything?? I cant take them seriously anymore.

Seungri was wrong he apologized no one glossed it over.
'CLEARLY' its Bom's fault for witnessing her poor friend die , 'CLEARLY' its Bom's fault for getting so depressed she needs prescribed meds.
You try going through what she did and keep a stable mind.
Not sure if these knetz are stupid or are just jackasses.
