This makes me sad. Though I can slightly understand where they're coming from because Dara was barely promoted as an "actress" through YG... only a few appearances here and there but nothing in mainstream Korean media. I doubt most of them even know of her work from the Philippines but you know what, I still have hope that Dara's planning to advance in her acting career sometime soon so she can show everyone that she deserves to be called an actress too! tbh, i dont know what the future holds for Dara, im sorry, im really pessimistic but if YG doesn't handle her properly, her career will go no where, they need to push her i mean YG is known for their god damn media play (advertising really) they should do the same for Dara, who among the 2ne1 members have the cleanest image (not saying, the others have bad images but she doesn't have the 'plastic surgery' thing and the 'tryhard' thing looming around her) and is publicly well received. as this was called a shoot for YG actors/actresses i am assuming/hoping/praying that Dara will legit have a gig, i mean the Mokbang thing was funny but really YG? YOU CAN GET HER BETTER GIGS THAN THAT!
I feel like she's going to do something (a drama?? god please, movie??? i'm dreaming) with the stuff she's been doing recently... but of course I can't hold my expectations too high. But I really really hope that they have something planned for her. It would be such a WASTE not to even try to push Dara???

she's very marketable... a good investment actually, it doesn't even matter if her acting is bad or mediocre at best (cant really judge, her acting back then when she was here was kinda cringe worthy, but she couldn't speak our language properly so it's hard to tell, plus she was trained as an actress in YG, she might have improved). her image is perfect, she can start with minor roles, actually she can go for big ones, what the point of being from the big3 if they cant use that power to land anything, i mean other agencies get their 'idol-actors/actresses' in movies/dramas and other shit but YG cant do that for Dara? i just feel bad for her, she could be so much more. she lost her momentum in 2009-2010 when all everybody talked about was her

Yg is the reason y dara almost lost her komentum,,i agree that her best time is 2009-10 she evn had a cf with freaking lee minho before,,it was so huge,,i really dont know why yg never let her,,its so frustrating,,even idols in some small agency were able to land a role,,im not eeally asking for a lead roles,,supporting is fine to start ,but i hope this coming year yg will let her,,if not im going to hate yg forever and never listen to any kpop songs anymore,,

I can bet you dara doing the photoshoot with the actors/ actresses is not because they are giving her any credibility for what she's done in the past. I mean let's be honest, she's known as a singer in korea. However, i think it's positive news for BJs, in that it's an indication for things to come ^^
in a nutshell, YG will probably FINALLY be letting her branch out into acting in dramas and possibly films too next year.

i had to do a double take, i saw dara there and i thought is that her and why was she there. i know she has acted before but she is not that known as an actress in korea. i hope this is a sign that yg will let dara do more acting in supporting roles or a one act drama, i think she has mainly done cameos but it would be cool if she did dramas or movies as a supporting actor to build up to starring roles in korea.
