YG supports Se7en's discharge ceremony despite expired contract

Se7en held his discharge ceremony on December 28th at 9 a.m. in Pochun, Gyeonggi.  YG managers accompanied him at the ceremony despite his expired contract.  They both took care of Se7en and coordinated the press conference.

A representative said, "Se7en currently has no managing agency, so it seems that YG lent a helping hand in managing the ceremony.  Though they cannot help him upfront because he is no longer one of their artists, I think they are trying to help him all they can from behind."

Se7en reveals he plans to rest for a while and says it will be a while before he makes a come back due to the emotional stress he has been through during his scandal.  Many are also interested in whether or not he will resign his contract with YG Entertainment. (Source

6. [+808, -40]  This guy was the one who saved YG when they were in a slump and it was Se7en who refused the money and renewed his contract.  From YG's point of view, they've got to at least keep their loyalty somehow..... and I guess it was with his trip to the massage parlour

7. [+763, -69]  Yeah right Yang Hyun Suk's going to throw him away...  Se7en is held at a high position there ㅋㅋ Se7en was the one who earned money and saved Yang Hyun Suk before Big Bang, he can't throw him away that easily

8. [+747, -57]  A new massage parlour opened up in our neighbourhood and they named it "Se7en's massage" ㅋㅋ

9. [+564, -129]  As expected of YG pharmacy's class... whenever there's a scandal they give excuses for their artists ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ A company full of crimes

I think not long ago Se7en put http://www.hello7.com/ on his Twitter bio and it automatically directs to his page on http://www.ygfamily.com/ so maybe YG still cares about him?

Sorry but I'm really disappointed in Se7en. I don't even care if he signs with YG or not.

THIS GUY IS THE ONE WHO PREVENTED T.O.P TO USE TO THE STAGE NAME MARK YOU KNOW? UNTIL TODAY, MAD RESPECT FOR HIM.

Bobby-KimJiWon said...

In all seriousness, I think YG still take him back but he probably get to be in the position like Sean who works behind the scenes and maybe he can be a vocal couch/trainer. YG seriously need more than decent vocal trainers.

Fuck Knetz

Avinnn said...

can I ask why? from my point of view, se7en's at fault since he's the one that went to the massage parlour.

knetz will forever mention this massage parlor in every of his articles from now on lol. they are bunch of hypocrites. they aren't perfect yet they expect perfections from idols. there is no forgiveness and second chance in their dictionary.
anyway, fuck knetz. it's good to see yg manager accompanying him after he discharged. i hope yg takes him back. he's so talented. his lives always impressed me. his singing and dancing skills were no joke and i can't wait to see him performing on the stage again. i wish him all the best:)

Why would people point fingers at YG when all YG did was simply remembering everything Se7en has done for the company? At least YG is not the type to let go of people damn easily *cough* SM *cough*

#9 is pretty dumb if you ask me but seriously.. Se7en disappointed me big time, he's def. at fault here but they really shouldn't be dragging YG into this.

idk why people are saying he lost everything; he's healthy, has a roof over his head, food to eat, etc.

besides it's not like he was woobin status before the massage scandal his popularity died down when he announced his now ex gf publicly. and having no gf isn't the end of the world.

They don't expect Se7en to be perfect but they would at least expect him to serve his military time properly. He used his celebrity status to fool around and go to a massage parlour. Wouldn't you be angry too if you were someone who was enlisted in the army and saw how military celebrities (like se7en and sanchu) acted? Sorry but they have a right to be angry at him

The upvotes are ridiculous

His occupation is an artist. He lost his image, he lost his girlfriend, he doesn't have a managing agency, the "massage parlor" scandal will follow him for a long time... The biggest parts of his life are gone. Not having a girlfriend isn't the end of the world but she may have been a very big part of his life. Yes he hasn't lost COMPLETELY everything, it's just an expression because he definitely lost the most important things in his life.

Haters are so blinded they will twist facts to fuel and spread the hate.

Love or hate YG the company despite being fans of the artists, you just can't deny that they are loyal to the people who have been with the company for a long time. When Gummy's contract expired, they supported her and took care of her activities till she found a new home. When Tablo was at his lowest point, they sent managers and a professional van to drive him around just because he's married to Kang Hye Jung, who was under YG at the time. When Se7en's contract expired, their managers took care of his enlistment, Jae Wook (HiTech's leader, YG choreographer) went to the enlistment site to see him off. And today, when Se7en is discharged, it's again YG the company who takes care of everything.

That's the company. GDYB came to see Se7en during the New Year, right after his scandal, and didn't hesitate to post abt it on their SNS. And today, YG's wife (Eun Joo) posted a pic of Se7en being discharged on her IG to welcome him back.

Hate all you want. Just don't deny that unabashed loyalty the company has for its veterans.

yes, i understand their anger. i was disappointed in him also when i saw the news. he fucked up in military but i guess he learned his lesson already. for me, i will give him a second chance to prove himself. what i don't understand about knetz that they rarely forgive. they hardly know what second chance is and continue hate. i mean we are all humans. we all make mistakes. we are sometimes fool. i think we all deserve forgiveness when we regret and learn from our mistakes.

ine said...

if he was woobin popular before the scandal i'd definitely agree but since his popularity died down way before this scandal this will is more like a dint to him and i don't think this scandal will prevent him from releasing music, it won't be easy not just because this scandal but because he's not extremely popular.
also yeah this scandal will follow him but it doesn't mean he'll never get work or be a failure in life; look at mc mong, gd, etc.

Leave it to knetz to put evil intentions behind a simple action. YG's given a helping hand to artists that weren't under their company several times before, it's just what they do, no different now.

People always forget there's always another story to tell. Either it's a dirtier one, or something that will make you forgive someone entirely.
Since I don't know what's REALLY going on, I think he still deserves the good thing that might be true although the story about him from front view is a bad one. Hwaiting Se7en! You reap what you sow, people said. But it's also a good thing, maybe you can be a better person after this. Maybe you can spend so much time now with your loved (family, or bestfriends who really care for you) ones since you couldn't do it before because of your fame. Maybe, you will come back with a good change that could move netizens' heart. So... yeah. Himnaeseyo!

YG said before... it's really dificult to get into YG but also difficult to lose the loyality. :3

EXO earned big money for SM too, but SM didn`t care about their health. Don`t say like if YG should do that. It`s just YG really cares about his artists & doesn`t matter how big were their scandals.

WIN said...

yup, he was at fault they cursing him as if he killed someone LMAO

I sincerely wish Se7en will stay with YG. Well I hope YG will welcome him back into their agency, which I guess they will. We'll see.
You reap what you sow. He is feeling it now.
But I hope this mess will make him grow even better musical wise and personality wise.

YG is a forgiving man. He knows that talent like Se7en's should not be sacrificed at the expense of a mistake that Se7en was already punished for. Loyalty is highly valued in that company and I salute YG Ent. for it.

siraulzzang said...

He still has music. He may have lost all those superficial things that comes with popularity but he still has music. He should get back to basics. He started with nothing but talent, he'll find his way back.

He can coach the shit out of Bang Yedam. That kid has the makings of a future Se7en!

At least they'll not constantly asked him to be in jail unlike BOM who'll forever be asked to be in jail. Seven and this massage parlor would later just be for entertainment or as jokes later on.

It is easy to point a finger, se7en's fault was going out looking for a massage while on service which is not allowed. Se7en have a bad back, and if you have seen his performance the previous times and the one leading to the night of the incident you could see he wasnt on his full condition. There was even a performance where he didn't do the handstand and let the hi-tech dance. They claim that he was looking for a quick fix, but if he was why didn't he went and do it on the first massage parlor he went too. It took them three massage parlor to confront se7en, When they finally did se7en barely stayed five minutes inside the building. They also asked the massage parlor owner and he did say se7en wasn't looking for that kind of service. He was looking for a therapist, and when they offered a different kind of service he refused. Se7en does have a bad back, and yes he dance a lot, but the difference is when he was performing he was being conditioned well with a trainer a.k.a. hwangssabu. Inside the military they do get physio but he is not with them at his disposal and he is performing way to many times than he did outside. I will blame him for going out and being stupid thinking that he can get a therapist working late at night even if he searched the entire district he was performing at that time.

because yg released the news that his contract expired and renewal was under vague terms came out almost right after he got into the massage parlor scandal. not that it's necessarily cause and effect, but the timing of the announcement makes it seem that way to the casual entertainment consumer.

Apple said...

I wasn't questioning abt what happened during his scandal.. I was just curious on why people talked bad abt YG when all he did was just sending some staffs and threw a discharge ceremony for Se7en. Se7en has no company now (if he doesn't renew his contract with YG) so YG was simply taking care of him... same way with Tablo back in the day when he had no managers & van but YG sent some staffs and vans for him just bcoz he's Hye Jung's husband. I don't think YG (as a company) is the type to forget people's kindness easily.
