What's more sad is YG ent is prob not the only company that has a wage gap like that in Korea or even other countries... it's so sad.

Why can't they just hire fangirls

Um heck no! They get paid like minimum wage workers but have super high requirements.

I think I fit with Business Management Team posting.. haha But the salary is too little for me to survive especially in comparison to US' salary..

Yup. He contribute a lot for Winner, so the boys always mention him in their speech :)

I think I will be happy if I get hired as cleaning lady there lol I will purposely make the dance studio dirty then I have excuses to stay longer while my boys (and girls) are practicing. But then I might get fired lol

Urgh why the low pay for women... it's so common worldwide too. It's really unfair

dream job

i wonder if that has to do with the types of jobs they're in, like if less women are promoted to higher positions in management, rather than it being something like less pay at an equal position. because that's a different problem...

The wages suck. I hope that's raised.

The wage gap between men and women :(
It may be down to the distribution of jobs between the gender, i.e. there may be more men in higher ranking jobs but even then thats a problem because its uneven/unequal. But I'm sure its not intentional, its just sad to see.

Thats honestly better that worrying about salary...They might get paid almost as much as a hardehardworking part time but THEY LOVE what they do and u can see it in the creative marketing skill they come up with for every artist... if the company does well im sure YG won't look past that and they gain something out of it. That's why the people that work there seem to enjoy it regardless of pay

Riririr said...

Actually the same job can have different salaries, depending on the demand of the applicants (and the gender).
Example:
Business executive:
- A woman walks in and demand $5,000 salary. The impressions will usually be "Ridiculous. Not even sure she can bring in that much profit".
- A man walks in and demand the same $5,000 salary. The impression: "You are just what we are looking for".
See the sexism?

Well not where I'm from. It's pretty much equal here in most aspects. I use to hate being born in my country but getting to know other cultures made me appreciate it more.

normg said...

but there's a different in the full time about 13 hours , so it makes sense.

I have no desire working there even if it means I can probably hang out with Bigbang lol. It's because after being a fan for too long I just refuse to see them in real life almost any day of the week, unless concerts.

my dream job is to be Winner or iKON's English teacher... don't care bout salary... as long as I'm with them T^T

I'm beyond shocked. YG is a big company but the annual salary is super hella cheap compared to the requirements. I better work in another big companies.

uhhhhhhhh said...

i see the sexism in that situation, but i wonder if that's what is actually happening as opposed to what i'm suggesting, that the woman in that situation doesn't even given the job opportunity in the first place.
