[Instiz] Would you have been as forgiving as Yoo In Na if this happened to you?

Yoo In Na on her radio show 'Volume Up'
“This happened to me in the past.  I had this same-age friend back in high school.  If she’s listening right now, she’d know I’m talking about her ㅋㅋ  We’re still on good terms now but back when we were in high school, she would come over to my house a lot.  When she’d leave, she would always say, “Ah! I don’t have money for the bus fare!” or “Ah!  I don’t have money to take the taxi!” and she would always ask me, “Can you lend me $2?” “Can you lend me $3?”  Then she’d leave.

The thing is I couldn’t just come up to her and say, “Ya, give me that dollar I let you borrow last time.”  I tried to mention it to her from time to time but when I do she brushes it off and says, “Yeah, I’ll give it to you next time.  It’s not that much money anyway.”
But that lasted for over a year.  Seriously, of course the amount of money I lent her would pile up over that course of time.

For example, when we’d go out, whether it’s for the food that we ate or bought, I would always be the one to pay.  She would tell me, “You pay now and I’ll pay you half of it later.ㅋㅋㅋ
After a year, we had a huge fight.  I forgot the reason why we ended up fighting but I think it was a bunch of little things piled up together that just made us argue.  We were still young back then too so…

We fought over the phone and at one point I told her to give back all the money I let her borrow ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Ya!  Do you know how much that all is?!  Give it back then!  Give me back the clothes I lent you too!
That’s what I told her… we were being so cheap.
So my friend said, “Okay! Fine! I will! I’ll give it all back to you!”
Do you know how much that all cost?
Ya, don’t worry I’ll pay back the whole thing and I’ll give you back your clothes too!
So she left the clothes and money at the office.  My white coat that I let her borrow was grey.  It turned black from being so dirty ㅋㅋ
Also, I thought she’d at least give me back around $40-$50… since we fought and it was also a matter of pride like saying, ‘Here! Have your money’ so that’s what I was expecting…
It was so funny.  Hilariously, she left exactly only $8.00.
She’s a really innocent, kind, and cute friend so I think she really thought I only lent her $8.00 all this time ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I found it so funny that my anger disappeared and I just accepted the eight bucks. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ"

[1] "If that was me, I would have posted my story online under an anonymous name to create chaos."

[2] "I know how it feels since I have a friend like that... she's really a saint."

[3] "How can she think that it's cute and innocent of her friend to do?  She stopped being angry and just accepted the eight dollars?  She's way too nice..."

[4] "How can someone be so nice?  Even I'm getting infuriated just reading the story."

[5] "8 bucks is cute?  If it was me, I would have caused a hell of a ruckus."

[6] "There would have been hair pulling and physical fights if I was involved."

[7] "I can't believe the friend was forgiven.  She's too nice.  I'm shocked by how her friend acted but what shocks me even more is that she's still on good terms with her."

[8] "Oh no...... if that was me, I would have swore at her, "Ya!  8 f*cking dollars, are you kidding me?"

[9] "Wouldn't she have gotten even more angry when she saw how much her friend gave?"

[10] "Yoo In Na's so nice... and is it just me or I read the entire story in her voice?! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"

No???? Omg we wouldn't even last as friends for more than a few months let alone a year??? I'm really meticulous about this sort of stuff but I also hate confrontations. I really don't like asking for my money back... but at the same time like they still have to pay me back you know.. lol

I think that friend took advantage of how nice yoo inna was being.... it's okay to treat your friend to a couple of meals and bus fares but for it to last a whole year and you always do it? That's just wrong? Like does she have financial issues or what... it wasn't right for her to do and I'm surprised she still wants to be friends with her :\

#10, I def imagined her voice while reading this.
And yeah there are people like that here and there, I am fine if I am financially stable enough to pay for them, but if not, I will just ask them to pay their portion.

I would stump into her house with all my clique and be like" Bish, you gonna pay up today"

I am a person who rarely asks for favors because I don't like bothering people, but there are times that I'm short on money and have to ask a friend to lend me some (a dollar or two). But even by that little money I borrow, I feel so burdened by it and have to pay by the next day or as fast as I can. Honestly, I would expect the same from others.
This hasn't happened to me, but if it does, I actually don't know how I would be able to

I hated this song at first but it is getting more addictive and it gets stuck in my head. Same goes to Bey's 7/11.

I had the same reaction to both songs! I didn't like them at first but then I watched a dance cover of 7/11 and then I started to like it, they're both realllllly addicting. It gets stuck in your head

Not cute at all. I would draw a graffiti sign 'O$P$' on her door in red.

Sometimes ppl would cope up with bad friends that makes them uncomfortable just so they don't be alone.
This is applies heavely in school.

One of my friend is kinda like that. She never borrowed me money though it just that whenever we out to eat I'd be the one paying the bill like everytime lol I never suggest her to have a meal with me since then because she was like how much? I'll pay you half but she never paid each time.

I think she didn't necessarily think it's cute and innocent. Just see this post and it felt like a passive-aggressive stance about the issue.
