YG joins hands with Ewha Women's University to support youth in need

"YG Entertainment and Ewha Women's University joined to develop a music educational program.  Music therapy will be provided for youth at risk to help recover emotionally from school violence, bullying, and harm.  The program strives to improve problematic behaviour and help youth at risk."

1. [+1380, -40]  Good deeds should be praised~!

2. [+1243, -48]  They're doing good things, while you're at it, give us a comeback too.

3. [+995, -38]  They've done something good, let's compliment them for it.

4. [+974, -38]  Those who have more should give back.  That's awesome.

5. [+789, -46]  I respect them.

6. [+121, -14]  YG's employees, artists, and executive board members take part in a lot of charities and donations.  Not just Sean but there's so many other people we don't know about.

7. [+106, -12]  I support Ewha Women's University

8. [+100, -7]  At least YG gives back as much as they can.  During the Sewol disaster, they donated a few hundred millions.  Sean and G-Dragon donated as well too.  It's nice to see them give back.

9. [+99, -8]  Anyway I'm proud of both YG and Ehwa Univeristy!

10. [+111, -23]  I haven't seen another entertainment company give back to society as much as YG has.

Me either. They really do a lot of charity and donations. That should be respected. Even if ppl do have a problem with certain artist. You can't deny that they are helping their country big or small.

As someone who graduated from psychology major and planning to continue to get my master someday, I paid more attention to the purpose of this program, rather than the fact that a lot of people praised YG for doing this.

"Music therapy will be provided for youth at risk to help recover emotionally from school violence, bullying, and harm. The program strives to improve problematic behaviour and help youth at risk."

Yes, please. Do a lot more of these kind of things in SK, please. Please pay more attention to mental state, rather than just looking at the outer appearance. There's a lot of suicide, bullying, extreme unbalance work-life, and body image disorder there, yet I don't see enough attention that they give to those things. It saddened me so much :(

That is such a great idea, i hope more companies join YGE doing this. The more the merrier. Good job.

I hate comments like this. Knetz are not the same people every article. Probably there was another article with the Knetz who hate on YG every time, but this one was positive. Just freaking decide what you want, do you want Knetz to hate on YG or to praise YG?

This is good news, it's always a nice to know that the company is not only growing but also investing in other supportive institutions increasingly each year thus spreading their good fortune. "Before you become a star, become human" is a nice sentiment and they appear to act on it from the bottom to the top.

"Those who have more should give back"- I understand the logic but I do not like this choice of expression.
Someone having more should not be obliged to give it up. since they might well have more because they have worked harder and are smarter than others that is to say they have earned it and its not their extra responsibility but a nice gesture from anyone whether they have more or not.
Rather its nice when those who so have more choose to give some back and spread their fortune, the same when those who do not have more do the same. Maybe I am being a bit sensitive but I feel making it sound like their responsibility anyway undermines that it is actually a gesture of goodwill.

Like the comments saod praise what needs to be praised.. no one denies that YG Does good deeds from the moment BB got big they began a lot of donation programs like WITH, and the fire one for elderly, and no one can deny thay despite delays once released their music is good and the artists are recognized for their their hard work and talent. The problem is their timing of article releases sometimes and not enough explanation for scandals and such.

Of course there are those who are born haters but even they can't fully hate on them

The sucide rate in SK is very high, i hope other companies/agencies/governmet look more into the reasons and provide more similar services for them

for some people hating Is easier than being rational

good deeds should be praised, but if they do things that are wrong, it should be looked down upon, right? cause i mean those scandals did happen. but NB does mostly post negative comments, so we never know
